BIBLICAL
DIET AND LIFESTYLE TIPS
Exercise regularly. People in
the Saviour's day walked on average up to 10 miles a day.
Cut out all snack foods with hydrogenated fat; processed foods, white sugar, candy, high-sugar cereals and white
bread; decrease salt.
Get rid of
coffee and drink water, fruit, or vegetable juices instead.
Stock up on nuts, seeds and whole grains.
Substitute olive oil for butter, margarine and salad dressings. Avoid
fried foods.
Choose fish and poultry, and eat meat sparingly. Trim all
visible fat from meat and remove the skin from poultry.
Limit cheese intake to small amounts of parmesan or feta cheese. Eat low-fat plain yogurt
.
Cook and bake with whole-grain products. Eat more fresh fruits and
vegetables, beans, legumes and nuts.
Dining
should be a pleasant, relaxed experience with your family and
friends; a time to reduce stress.
