Statement of Faith
THE SCRIPTURES - We believe the Scriptures, consisting of Pentateuch, Neviim, Ketuvim/ Old Testament and B'rit Chadashah/ New Testament are aHâiâh's (the Creator's name) perfect revealed will for our lives in written form. They are Almighty-breathed (All scripture is given by inspiration of Alohim/ God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of Alohim may be perfect, fully equipped unto all good works. 2 Timothy 3:16, 17) and are the sole authority in matters of faith, ethics, and spiritual walk. The life changing effects of it's consistent doctrinal clarity over millenia is proof that is was written by inspired men led by the Ruach ha Quodesh/ Spirit of Holiness. Both testaments present the same perfect and exalted standard for life. No other book has achieved this.
THE CREATOR - We believe in one true living Supreme Being, whose proper, personal name is אהיה/ aleph, hay, yod, hay/ aHayah/ aHâiâh (And Alohim said to Moses, “אהיה אשׁר אהיה/ aHâiâh asher aHâiâh/ I am that which I am.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to Bnei-Yisra’ěl/ children of Israel, ‘ aHâiâh has sent me to you.’ ” Exodus 3:13,14; So when Yeshua said to them, “aHâiâh/ I am,” they drew back and fell to the ground. So again He asked them, “Who are you looking for? ” And they said, “aHâishua/ Yeshua ha-Natzrati.” John 18:6,7). He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (aHâishua/ Yeshua the Messiah is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8) As Supreme Being, aHâiâh is our Heavenly Father; the one true Alohim/ Elohim (All Mighty One) of the universe. Alohim/ God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 4:24; John 14:26; 1 Timothy 2:5; 1 Corinthians 8:6). Alohim's moral law is immutable and is everywhere the same.
Do not think that I [aHâishua]
came to abolish the Torah or the Prophets! I
did not come to abolish, but to fulfill. Amen, I
[aHâishua]
tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not
one jot [the smallest letter]
or tittle [serif]
shall ever pass away from the Torah until all things come
to pass. Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever keeps and teaches them, this one shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the Pharisees and Torah scholars, you shall never enter the kingdom of heaven! Matthew 5:17-20 |
THE COVENANT We believe aHâiâh's Covenant at Mount Sinai (Exodus 20), was reaffirmed and being established here on earth (2 Corinthians 3:6; Hebrews 8:7-12), and is entered into by accepting the Son of the Almighty as the way to the Father (aHâishua said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life! No one comes to the Father except through Me. JOHN 14:6), and the propitiation for our sins (for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of Alohim. They are set right as a gift of His grace, through the redemption that is in Messiah aHâishua. Alohim set forth aHâishua as an atonement, through faith in His blood, to show His righteousness in passing over sins already committed. Through Alohim’s forbearance, He demonstrates His righteousness at the present time—that He Himself is just and also the justifier of the one who puts his trust in aHâishua/Yeshua. Romans 3:23-26; My children, I am writing these things to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an Intercessor with the Father—the righteous Messiah aHâishua. He is the atonement for our sins, and not only for our sins but also for the whole world. Now we know that we have come to know Him by this—if we keep His commandments. 1 John 2:1-3) by redemption through aHâishua's shed blood.
THE WAY OF SALVATION - We believe that we must be born again (For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16; Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of Elohim/ God. John 3:3, through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. Acts 10:43, For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of Elohim/ God Romans 3:23; And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and aHâishua the Messiah, the One You sent. John 17:3) and that the forgiveness of sins takes place because of the grace of aHâiâh the Almighty and not because of anything we merit or can accomplish (For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of Alohim: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Messiah aHâishua unto good works, which Alohim hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:8-10; Acts 15:6-12). The Salvation process begins when a person hearing the gospel, believes, repents (Paul says that those he was preaching to, should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance. Acts 26:20), confesses and have a Mikved (being baptized) in water (Leviticus 11, Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38,22:16). The Believer then becomes part of true Israel, being grafted in (And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree; Romans 11:17), just like Caleb, Ruth, and others.
THE SPIRIT OF ALOHIM -We believe that the Ruach ha-Kodesh (Spirit of Holiness), is a divine spiritual force of the Almighty; will be sent to indwell the believer, as they enter into a Covenant relationship with the Creator (... the intercessor, consoler, the Ruach ha-Kodesh whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you everything and remind you of everything that I said to you. John 14:26). The Ruach ha-Kodesh's purpose is to guide a believer, if willingly, in a dynamic spiritual walk. This Spirit is one of seven . (And I looked and saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders a Lamb standing, as having been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of Alohim sent out into all the earth.) Revelation 5:6
THE BELIEVER'S LIFE - We believe that a Believer will purpose not to continue in sin (Romans 6:1), but obey the Torah (commandments) of aHâiâh (I have delighted to do Your pleasure, O my Alohim, And Your Torah is within my heart. Psalm 40:8, Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. Psalm 119:11, And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. 1 John 2:4-6; Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 1 John 3:7; By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 1 John 5:2,3). A Believer is encouraged tokeep all the Moeds/Feasts, thekeep all the Moeds/Feasts, the Shabbattor Sabbathh day, being the first Mooadim((Speak to Bnei-Yisrael, and tell them: These are the appointed moadim of Adonai, which you are to proclaim to be holy convocations—My moadim. Work may be done for six days, but the seventh day is a Shabbat of solemn rest, a holy convocation. You are to do no work—it is a Shabbat to Adonai in all your dwellings. Leviticus 23::2, 3; Remember the Shabbat, to keep it qadash/ holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the Shabbatt of Hâiâhh thy Alohim: in it thou shalt not do any work, ... For in six days Hâiâhh made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Hâiâhh blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.Exodus 20:8-11,, Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the Shabbatt of Hâiâhh in all your dwellings. [The Shabbat is a command within the Covenant, separate from the Torah; “Take this scroll of the Torah, and place it beside the Ark of the Covenant of Adonai your God. It will remain there as a witness against you," Deuteronomy 31:26 It seemed good to the Ruach ha-Kodesh and to us not to place on you any greater burden than these essentials: that you abstain from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality. By keeping away from these things, you will do well. Shalom!” Act 15:28,29 ] ). TheThe otherr Moeds beingg Pesachh/ Passoverr, Matstsah// Unleavened Bread,, Re'shııyth/ First Fruits,,Shavuot/ Pentecost, Zikron Teru‛ah /Yom Teruah/ Trumpets, Yom Kippur/ Atonement,, Chag Sukkah// Sukkot/ Tabernacles andd Shhemı̂ynı̂y ‛ătsereth//Eighth Dayy (Leviticus 23). Therefore whoever knows the right thing to do and does not do it—for him it is sin. James 4:17
THE MESSIAH'S RETURN - We believe that Messiah came over two thousand years ago; lived and then was crucified; rose from the dead; ascended to Heaven. There will be a second coming of Messiah, in the near future, likened unto how he left (Men of Galilee, why do you keep standing here staring into heaven? This aHâishua, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw Him go into heaven. Acts 1:11 And in that day His feet shall stand upon the Mount of Olives, which faces Yerushalayim on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, from east to west, a very great valley, and half of the mountain shall move toward the north and half of it toward the south. Zechariah 14:4 ). He will rule for a millennium; next he will judge both the living and the dead (2 Timothy 4:1) according to their works (Revelation 20:12). We should therefore strive to live our lives in a pleasing manner towards aHâiâh and persuade others to follow Him, knowing that aHâiâh’s wrath will be carried out (For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Messiah, so that each one may receive what is due for the things he did while in the body—whether good or bad. We know what it means to respect aHâiâh, and we encourage everyone to turn to him. Alohim himself knows what we are like, 2 Corinthians 5:10-11).
