Shemot
A Census of Israel's
Familys with an approximate growth rate
average of 5.44 males per generation (excluding Levi) from the time of
Jacob's arrival with a total number of seventy. The average family
would have to have had approximately 5.44 males, per generation, to
achieve a total 60,355 (603,550 or 54 males/ family would not be
achievable). However, the example familys given are: Joseph - two
sons; Levi's family - three males; Kohath - four sons; Amram's family
there were two boys - Aaron and Moses. Joseph's, Levi's, Kohath's and
Amram's families were all below the average. Someone must have added a
zero to the numbers along the way.

their generations. And Amram took him Yocheved (Jochebed) his father's
sister to wife; and she bare him Aaron and Moses: and the years of the

And also that nation,
whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out
with great substance. And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou
shalt be buried in a good old age. But in the fourth
generation they shall come hither again:
